Resa Blatman is a Massachusetts-based visual artist who works with varying media including wall-mounted art installations, mixed-media paintings, and drawings.

Her primary studio practice consists of commissions and public art projects that speak to her reverence for the natural world. She currently has three paintings at the Peabody Essex Museum’s exhibition “Bats!” in Salem, Massachusetts, open through July

In , Resa received grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the City of Somerville.

Often the above can be true, and that's why having a varied career path can be so useful to an artist. My work is inspired by the issues that encompass climate change and I find it cathartic to make work that speaks to these concerns.

She has permanent public art installations at several locations, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Mass; the City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, California; Denver Health, Colorado; Texas A&M University, Texas; Somerville Hospital, Somerville, Mass. Resa’s paintings are in collections throughout the U.S., including the Museum of Arts and Sciences, Macon, Georgia; Twitter; Fidelity; Hilton Hotel; The WH Ming Hotel, Shanghai, China; and within the UAE and Europe.

Resa exhibits her work at universities and art institutions nationally, and she has several exhibitions coming up in , including the McCoy Gallery at Merrimack College, September , Andover, Mass; the Multicultural Arts Center, November Cambridge, Mass; “Thinking About Climate Change: Art, Science, and Imagination in the 21st Century” at University Hall Gallery at UMass Boston, October-December , Boston, Mass, where she’ll be a participating panelist and artist; Collaborative project at Montserrat College of Art, October-December , Beverly, Massachusetts.

Her work has been reviewed in publications including The Boston Globe, Ecoconsciousness, Boston Society of Architects, Art New England, SupersonicArt, Booooooom, among others.

She received her MFA from Boston University and her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art + Design, and she just completed a yearlong artist-in-residence at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass. Resa’s work is represented by Childs Gallery, Boston.
